- Switch to a full-screen mode that removes local navigation space.
These behaviors are not interchangeable. A client may show a larger toolbar while leaving the Mac desktop unchanged. Another client may allow a zoomed view but force you to pan around the session.
Check the client’s current documentation for the exact display mode available in your version. Do not assume that a full-screen button creates a larger remote workspace. It may only hide the client’s own borders.

The remote Mac controls the desktop resolution presented to applications. Lowering the remote resolution can make menus and text easier to read on a small screen. The trade-off is reduced workspace.

- The external display shows black bars because the session and output ratios differ.
